The following are rough estimates for standard illustrations:

5x7 Spot Illustration (Simple)

A custom, signed, 5x7 work of art completed in pen and ink and watercolor media on archival cold-pressed watercolor paper. This option is best for small single-item illustrations, without any detailed background or foreground. Simple pieces like decorative elements or editorial art.For example, a single dragon holding a cup of coffee, or a vase of flowers. $100–$200

8x10 Illustration (Detailed)

A custom, signed, 8x10 work of art completed in Marla's style of illustration with pen and ink and watercolor media on archival cold-pressed watercolor paper. $300–$500

11x14 Illustration (Detailed)

A custom, signed, 11X14 work of art completed in Marla's style of illustration with pen and ink and watercolor media on archival cold-pressed watercolor paper. $600–$900

16x20 Illustration (Detailed)

A custom, signed, 16x20 work of art completed in Marla's style of illustration with pen and ink and watercolor media on archival cold-pressed watercolor paper. $1,200–$1,800

Copyright

The artist, Marla Norton (Pixelzz Design LLC), retains the copyright on all of her original artworks. Original art may be used by the artist exclusively in a variety of ways, but not limited to:prints, portfolio work, advertising, and social media.

If you are interested in purchasing the copyright of an original art to prevent future duplication or useof the art, please let the artist know.

Percentage of Base Price: Charge 100–200% of the base price for full copyright transfer.(E.g., an 8"x 10" illustration at $400 would add $400–$800 for copyright transfer.)

Flat Fee by Size:

5"x 7": $100–$200

8"x 10": $200–$400

11"x 14": $400–$600

16"x 20": $600–$1,000

Unauthorized duplication of commissioned art is expressly prohibited.

Licensing Options (Alternative to Copyright Transfer)

Offer clients the option to license your work instead:

Personal Use License: 10–20% of base price.

Commercial Use License: 50–100% of base price (e.g., for advertising, product designs, etc.).

Exclusive Use License: 100–150% of base price.

Payment

50% of payment is due at time of commission, and 50% of payment is due upon delivery of thecompleted art.

Time Constraints

Art commissions will be completed and delivered within 30 days from when the first 50% of paymentis received by the artist, unless a different time frame has been discussed and agreed upon by bothparties.
